I’m first year medical student.But,I feel BORED when I want to study for LONG HOURS.Please,send me u’r advice on how I CAN PREVENT THIS.At last

Hi Enrico,

I read your blog frequently, thanks for all of the useful information! I have some questions about note-taking in med school:

How exactly do you take notes during lecture, do you have a special system or do you just write down as much as possible?

Do you take notes while reading the text?

What is your opinion about tape-recording class lectures?

don’t know a whole lot about medical schools. just wondering. why med school in mexico? why not in the US or Caribbean?

Absolutely superb post about learning. I am a teacher of middle school students. I am so afraid of what is happening to learning in our public schools here in the US. You have stated what real learning is as well as I have ever seen it. Thanks for your excellent work.

You sound like me, particularly the last paragraph. I had never seen a C in my life until medical school, and I was thrilled to get the Cs that I got (I didn’t get ALL Cs, though!) Your advice is good and I don’t think it comes across as arrogant at all.
